About Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum
International businessman Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum earned his BSBA in Finance from Boston, Massachusetts’ Suffolk University in 1999 and returned to Dubai to begin a thriving entrepreneurial career. He founded auto racing enterprise A1 Grand Prix, a worldwide competition made famous by its singular elements, including nationality-based teams and physically identical cars that allowed each driver's talent to be the focus of the race. A1 Grand Prix reached its pinnacle of success when it became designated the “World Cup of Motorsport,” and Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum vacated his seat in 2006 to pursue additional endeavors.
Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum was named President of Al Fajer Properties in 2008. Al Fajer Properties, a smaller division of development company Al Fajer Group, has maintained its status as one of the preeminent real estate establishments in the United Arab Emirates. Under the direction of Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum, it has partnered with leading European venture capitalist company Kulczyk Investment House. During this lucrative contract, Al Fajer Properties completed many of its projects ahead of schedule, including several skyscrapers built for the Jumeirah Lake Towers mixed-use commercial community.
In 2009, Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum became Chairman of the Al-Nasr Sports Club, the oldest and most iconic football team in the United Arab Emirates. His responsibilities include managing the personnel and financial department. Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum led Al-Nasr to become the first sports club in the UAE with its own satellite cable channel, which premiered in January 2009. He applies his experience as prior founder and president of several successful businesses in Dubai and abroad to restructure the future of Al-Nasr Sports Club.
